Smith, a prominent African American psychiatrist who was committed to providing quality behavioral healthcare to the underserved. WES, founded in 1992 has experienced significant growth during the last five years and has created an organizational structure to meet the needs of current and future growth.

WES Health System has an exciting opportunity available in our School Therapeutic Services Programs for a Temporary Clinician . The Temporary Clinician may work up to 35 hours per week from Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:00am and 3:45pm.

GENERAL OVERVIEW OF KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The! Clinician, meeting the requirements of a Mobile Therapist, will provide intensive therapeutic services to children/adolescents and their families. Using the strengths-based approach they will identify problems and design a treatment plan to address these issues.

ESSENTIAL & CORE FUNCTIONS:
1. To create and provide the clinical treatment of STS consumers and their families.
2. Ensuring timely proper delivery of intensive mental health services.
3. Assess child/adolescent and their families’ strengths and needs.
4. Design, revise and direct the implementation of a behavioral treatment plan.
5. Provide and document bi-weekly clinical supervision with the Behavioral Health Workers.
6. Provide and document weekly individual session with STS caseload.
7. Provide and document weekly family session with STS unique caregivers (bi-weekly face to face).
8. Collaborate with school personnel and outside agencies.
9. Follow-up on all! consumers needing hospitalization.
10. Provide weekly group treatment for STS consumers.
11. Complete clinical reviews with CBH.
12. Co-facilitate interagency meetings.
13. Assist in developing procedures for STS program.
14. Provide clinical trainings for STS staff.
15. Complete clinical intake assessments.
16. Make clinical recommendations for discharge.
17. Obtain information needed for addendums.
18. Complete follow-up on discharged STS consumers.
19. Complete all paperwork within specified time frames.
20. Adhere to WES’s Code of Ethics and comply with State Mental Health Code.
21. Attend trainings as required by WES.
22. Participate in continuous quality assurance/program development.
23. Comply with WES standards for service delivery.
24. Complete clinical intake assessments.
25. Perform assigned duties during the summer when school is not in session.
26. Maintain consumer and staff confidentialit! y.
27. Perform home and community visits.
