About the Position:
We are seeking a Disability Awareness Training Provider to work closely with our Project Lead to create & deliver a training programme. This initiative aims to support more residents into work and drive a more inclusive economy. The Disability Awareness Training Provider will be responsible for consulting on the design and delivery of training sessions that increase awareness of barriers to employment faced by Disabled people, increase understanding of the range of reasonable adjustments and personalised approaches, and support available for employers and individuals.
Due to stipulations from the funding body, this position is exclusively being offered to those who identify as having either a physical or mental disability. Priority will be given to those who have experience in or have completed similar bodies of training before.
Responsibilities:
- Aid in the creation of a bespoke training programme to be used by Nighttime Economy Solutions.
- Deliver 3 x group learning sessions to be included in the Inclusive Business Network learning programme.
- Delivery of bespoke training sessions for employees of interested members of the Inclusive Business Network.
Requirements:
- Experience delivering disability awareness training, and experience with online training platforms such as Zoom,
- Familiarity with the social model of disability and removing societal barriers to accessing good work.
- Knowledge of the barriers to employment faced by Disabled people and understanding of the range of reasonable adjustments and personalised approaches.
- Ability to design and deliver training sessions to a wide variety of stakeholders
- Experience liaising with employers on behalf of disabled job seekers and navigating the range of support options available to disabled people on behalf of job seekers (e.g. Access to Work).

- Increased understanding of the range of reasonable adjustments, personalised approaches, and support available for employers and individuals.
- Increased confidence in employing Disabled people.
- Increased confidence in liaising with employers on behalf of disabled job seekers.
- Increased confidence in navigating the range of support options available to disabled people on behalf of job seekers (e.g. Access to Work).
- Increased understanding of what works in terms of disability awareness learning for employers and employment support practitioners.
