The West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine (WVSOM) is seeking a full-time tenure track Internal Medicine Faculty Member. Candidates should be residency trained and Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine. Ideally the successful candidate will have clinical and teaching experience. The successful candidate must also eligible for licensure in the state of West Virginia.

Primary responsibilities include providing pre and post doctoral education and training to WVSOM students, interns and residents plus all attendant educational activities, which may include lecturing, assisting with physical diagnosis, physician skills labs and ACLS instruction. It is expected that the successful candidate will spend 60-80% of their time providing clinical care with the majority being hospital based care. Research is supported and encouraged but not required.

WVSOM offers an excellent benefits package including educational loan repayment, fully paid malpractice insurance and relocation expenses. Salary and faculty rank based on experience and training. We also have ultra-modern lecture and laboratory facilities.

Our ambulatory clinic is a state-of-the-art facility serving communities in the greater Greenbrier Valley area and providing care for a population base of approximately 75,000. The clinic specializes in Geriatrics, Geriatric Psychiatry, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. The clinic has 66,000 patients annually.

Our campus is located in Lewisburg, a picturesque community nestled in the Appalachian Mountains. In addition to being named as one of Americas Best Small Art Towns, Lewisburg has an array of eclectic restaurants, outdoor activities, antique shops, art galleries and live theater supported by varied local artists and benefactors.
