Facility: This CMHC is a comprehensive community mental health center serving southern West Virginia (Mercer, McDowell, and Wyoming Counties). We serve an average of 3,000 consumers each month. CMHC provides outpatient, residential, and crisis services to consumers with mental illness, Intellectual Disability, and/or substance abuse problems. CMHC has a total of 7 medical staff including a Medical Director, 2.5 Psychiatrists and 2 PA’s and one Nurse Practitioner. They have LPN’s to assist the medical staff with medical consents, etc.
Opportunity: CMHC is looking for a Board eligible psychiatrist who is willing to see both adults and adolescents. They should have a strong interest in substance abuse. They may either travel to other counties or do tele-psychiatry. They would be most interested in someone who is willing to provide Suboxone services but that is not a requirement . Most medical providers see between 20-25 consumers per day depending on the need for Psychiatric Evaluations. There is
no on-call but if additional income is sought there is the availability of working with the Crisis Stabilization Unit
. The CSU is a 10-bed unit providing psychiatric and substance abuse crisis services. Average length of stay is 5 to 7 days.
Compensation: Base salary and benefits based on MGMA standards. Extra income available though CSU!!
