The VA Medical Center in West Virginia is in need of a locum tenens Psychiatrist to provide full psychiatric assessments and potential dispositions of the patients (which may include admitting the patients to the hospital)! . The VA clinic sees an average of 14 patients per day.
(Inpatient and Outpatient).
The Psychiatrist shall have clinical practice experience in a psychiatric setting. At least 50% of clinical practice experience within the past 3 years has to have been in psychiatric medicine.
All the traditional VA requirements apply; background checks, computer skills, computerized record keeping, updated shot record and physical prior to start.
Requirements:
Any state license
BC is preferred but not required
Computer Skills
Background Check
Updated Shot record.
This assignment will commence on the date of award and continue for 6 months. Working Monday through Friday, daytime hours.
