Our client operates an existing 34 bed Psychiatric unit in a 168 bed not-for-profit hospital. They are expanding the service to 18 ger! iatric beds (some of the current patient population is geriatric now and this will allow for better treatment). The position is salaried with bonus, medical director stipend, and full benefits including relocation costs.
Presently 3 BC Psychiatrists serve here and we are expanding that to six in 2011.
The physicians work in various settings from in-patient to a structured out-patient format to a traditional out-patient format. The in-patient service averages 26 patients daily with an average length of stay of 9 days. Initial evaluations are one hour and med checks typically 20 minutes each.
The community is ideal, conveniently located to Morgantown WV (just 20 miles) and you can enjoy in addition to your work here an adjunct faculty position with the University. The community offers excellent housing, restaurants, and shopping and big time college sports.
