Summary:
Pr! ovide clinical leadership for specified program. As a member of the treatment team(s) of the program, is responsible for providing a broad range of treatment and case management functions for the population served. Provide clinical program coordination.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1.0 Assesses competency of clinical staff through observation and testing techniques.
- Assists clinical staff in developing required competencies.
- Gives input to Manager on performance management reviews of the unit staff.
3.0 Assess patient needs, including assessing for high-risk indicators and documents history/assessment in a manner that is clinically pertinent to the individual patient.
4.0 Participates as an integral professional member of an interdisciplinary treatm! ent team led by a psychiatrist.
5.0 Provides direct clinic! al assessment and intervention services to individuals, groups and families.
6.0 Performs continued care planning as developed with the treatment team from day of admission as needed.
7.0 Participates in treatment planning sessions and assists treatment team by coordinating planning effort.
8.0 Acts as liaison for program patients and their families to various community agencies, hospital consultants and services.
9.0 Records and charts patient contacts as required by hospital policy.
10.0 Markets Hospital services to appropriate referral sources.
11.0 Assists in quality reviews of program as assigned by the manager.
12.0 Assists in maintaining regulatory compliance of the program.
13.0 Maintains appropriate certification, licensure and competency through supervision and/or training and successful completion of annual performance evaluations.
14.0 Attends continuing education seminars and inservices as necessary to maintain professional l! icensure, competency, and satisfy hospital required education standards.
15.0 Provides training of staff on various issues and topics relevant to the specific patient population.
16.0 Performs other duties/projects as requested.

Knowledge, Skills an! d Abilities:
- Vast knowledge of the professional principles, practices and techniques of behavioral health methodologies as they apply to patients undergoing psychiatric treatment and rehabilitation considering the developmental ages of patients served.
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership in the clinical setting.
Education and Experience:
- Masterâs Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related clinical field.
- At least two years prior experience in a mental health program.
- Licensure in discipline at masterâs degree level
- Terminal Clinical licensure in the State of WV preferred or under supervision for such licensure.
- Advanced certification preferred.
- Successful completion of the criminal identification bureau check and maintenance of a personal record that wil! l not disqualify him/her for employment due to illegal activities.
