Psychiatrist - (Psych) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 07/22/2013Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
A Psychiatrist is needed in Marlborough, MA for an immediate and ongoing opportunity. The schedule is full-time and ongoing. A psychiatrist (locum tenens) is a mental health professional, who focuses on preventing,! diagnosing, and treating mental illness. After completing med! ical school, a psychiatrist must also complete a one year internship and three additional years of specialized training as a psychiatric resident. In the treatment of mental illness, a psychiatrist is licensed to prescribe medication. Some conditions requiring medication include; depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. A psychiatrist evaluates patients with mental illness and, in cases where medication is subscribed, often practices medication management.
