ÂCurrent registered nurse license and an NP license to practice in the State of West Virginia ÂCurrent prescriptive authority from the State Board of Nursing ÂCurrent Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) number ÂCertified Registered Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is highly preferred. However, if not certified, CCWV will provide intensive training under the supervision of a licensed psychiatrist, in a new model of team-based, integrated care in which behavioral health clinicians, primary care providers, and pharmacists all work closely together, sharing the same electronic health record. ÂAbility to establish and maintain positive, caring relationships with executive management, managers, physicians, non-physician providers, support staff, other departments, and patients/families. ÂAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified. ÂAbility to work productively and effectively within a complex environment, handle multiple/challenging priorities. ÂCritical thinking, analytical and problem solving abilities required as related to various aspects of patient care. ÂGood clinical judgment. ÂCritical thinking skills necessary to exercise and to lead others in application of acceptable standards of practice. Awareness of NCQA requirements and CMS guidelines is helpful.
