A Patient Care Facilitator walks patients from their room at a nursing home, to an office in the same building where the patient is seen online by a psychiatrist or psychologist. No lifting required.
The Facilitator does not stay for the appointment. While waiting for the patient to complete his/her time with the doctor, the Facilitator gathers information at nursing station for who will be seen that day. This is a part time job. The schedule will be the same day each week. The hours may vary a little, depe! nding on the number of patients to be seen on that day. This i! s called "telemedicine" because the doctor is talking live on a computer, he is not at the nursing home.
