Description: Aimpoint Health is hiring Psychiatry (General) right now, this position will be placed in New York. More details about this position opportunity please give attention to these descriptions. One hour north of NYC - Locum Psychiatry (General) - Monday to Friday, No Weekends, 8am to 4:30pm.
No on-call required, except for a rotation to cover lunch periods.
3 month commitment required. With the possibility to go longer.
Adult Forensic In-Patient Psychiatry.
Board certified preferred, but will consider board eligible.
Psychiatrist will be responsible for a ward. Admissions ward has about 15 to 20 patients. Chronic wards have 30 to 40 patients.
There are typically 3-4 admits per month. They come through the courts.
Responsible for: psychiatric evaluations, medicine ma! nagement, monitor patient progress, attend to psychiatric emer! gencies on assigned ward, work with multi-disciplinary teams that include team leaders, nurses, social workers, psychologists, occupational therapists, participate in treatment plan meetings, provide group therapy sessions about 2 times a week, work with other medical specialties to integrate medical care, will be required to testify in court (not frequent), not required to do any billing.
Credentialing is fast.
