Medical Director â€" Physician - Corrections
A Physician is needed for a Medical Director role in Saint Paul, Minnesota supporting correctional facilities. Saint Paul’s Ramsey and Minneapolis’ Hennepin County offers no shortage of Metropolitan flare and peaceful suburbs such as White Bear Lake, Maplewood, Shoreview, Dayton, Golden Valley, Edina, and the Lake of the Isles. - Flexible hours approximately 3 hours per week
- Start in June â€" ongoing assignment
- APPLICATIONS DUE IMMEDIATELY
- Work in an administrative role
- Provide medical guidance to the Health Services Team at four correctional facilities within one county
- Join a passionate team of 40+ RNs, NPs, Psychiatrists, and additional community support groups that offer an option for a fresh start for patients working their way through the correctional system
- MD will create policies and procedures that will produce cost effective care
- Provide continuing educational sessions to the correctional staff
- Be the MD leader responsible for medical process and procedure, quality improvement goals, health care management within the facilities, and teach emerging trends in Correctional Health
- Medical Director will provide chart reviews, consultation, and critical incident review
- Establish an open dialogue ! with referred off-site hospital systems to maintain and exemplify the vision of Correctional Health care service
- Although this is a limited hourly role, Physician must act as an advocate to Nurses, RNs, and patient outcomes
- Medical Director is welcome to work in clinic, if desired or to take calls
Requirements:
- Active Medical Board Certification
- Experience in corrections, internal medicine, or emergency medicine
